Technical Overview

Facade Rubber Gasket is an engineered rubber sealing solution used in modern architectural and building-envelope systems to provide effective sealing between glass, aluminium framing, metal panels and facade components. These gaskets help prevent the entry of rainwater, moisture, air and dust while maintaining a flexible sealing interface between different materials. AB Rubber Engineering manufactures custom Facade Rubber Gaskets using high-performance EPDM, Silicone, Neoprene and other suitable elastomer compounds. The profiles are designed to maintain consistent contact pressure and sealing performance despite thermal expansion, contraction, vibration and normal movement of facade components. EPDM rubber is widely preferred for exterior facade applications because of its excellent resistance to UV radiation, ozone, rainwater, weathering and atmospheric ageing. Silicone rubber can be selected for applications requiring a wider operating temperature range and excellent long-term weather resistance. Facade Rubber Gaskets are available in various designs including glazing gaskets, wedge gaskets, pressure plate gaskets, frame seals, mullion/transom seals, glass setting profiles, compression seals and custom extruded profiles. The profiles can be manufactured according to customer drawings, CAD designs, physical samples or architectural system requirements. Options such as different hardness levels, surface finishes, co-extrusion, flocking, adhesive backing and special dimensions can be provided as required.
