Technical Overview

Glazing Rubber Profile is an engineered rubber sealing solution used in architectural, construction, automotive, industrial and glass-processing applications. The profile creates a flexible sealing interface between the glass and its supporting frame, helping prevent water leakage, air penetration, dust ingress, vibration and direct glass-to-metal contact. AB Rubber Engineering manufactures customized Glazing Rubber Profiles using high-quality EPDM, Silicone, Neoprene, compounds. The profiles are designed to provide consistent compression and recovery, allowing them to accommodate thermal expansion, contraction and minor movement between glass and frame components. EPDM Glazing Profiles are particularly suitable for exterior applications due to their excellent resistance to UV radiation, ozone, rainwater, weathering and ageing. Silicone profiles can be selected for applications requiring a wider operating temperature range and excellent long-term weather resistance. Depending on the application, Glazing Rubber Profiles can be manufactured as glass gaskets, wedge gaskets, glazing channels, U-channels, locking gaskets, setting profiles, glass retaining profiles, compression seals and custom-designed sections. The profiles can be supplied according to customer drawings, CAD designs, physical samples or system-specific dimensions. Special options such as different hardness levels, colours, surface finishes, co-extrusion, flocking and adhesive backing can also be provided.
