Technical Overview

C-Type Rubber Pipe Clamping Profile is a specially engineered rubber extrusion designed for use inside pipe clamps and support assemblies. The C-shaped profile fits around the outer surface of a pipe or tube and creates a protective cushioning layer between the pipe and its supporting clamp. The profile helps prevent pipe movement, vibration, rattling, abrasion and surface damage while providing a secure and flexible grip. It also helps isolate the pipe from the metal clamp, reducing direct metal-to-metal contact and associated noise and vibration. AB Rubber Engineering manufactures C-Type Pipe Clamping Profiles using EPDM, NBR, Neoprene, Silicone and other application-specific elastomers. The material can be selected according to the required resistance to water, weather, oils, chemicals, temperature and mechanical stress. EPDM is recommended for outdoor, water and weather-exposed applications due to its excellent resistance to ozone, UV radiation and weathering. NBR can be selected for applications involving mineral oils, hydraulic fluids and petroleum-based media. The profile can be manufactured in different C-section sizes, wall thicknesses, internal diameters, hardness levels and lengths. Custom profiles can be developed from customer drawings, samples or pipe/clamp dimensions.
