Technical Overview

AB Rubber Engineering manufactures high-performance Railway Rubber Profiles designed to meet the rigorous safety, durability, and sealing demands of modern rail transportation systems. Extruded from premium-grade flame-retardant EPDM and Neoprene compounds, our profiles are widely used across passenger coaches, locomotives, freight cars, and track infrastructure. Engineered in compliance with RDSO and international railway standards, our profiles deliver superior weather resistance, flame retardancy, and vibration damping. Railway Profiles are precision-engineered rubber extrusion profiles developed for use in railway coaches, metro trains, passenger coaches, locomotives and other rail transportation systems. These profiles are designed to provide reliable sealing, cushioning, insulation, vibration absorption and protection in demanding railway environments. Railway rubber profiles are used in a wide range of applications including door systems, window and glazing assemblies, body joints, panel interfaces, flooring, luggage areas, equipment compartments and various interior and exterior sealing locations. Depending on the application, profiles can be manufactured from EPDM, Neoprene, Silicone, NBR, TPE and other specialized elastomer compounds. EPDM is widely suitable for outdoor railway applications because of its excellent resistance to weathering, ozone, UV radiation, moisture and temperature variations. The profiles can be manufactured in solid rubber, sponge rubber, cellular rubber or composite construction. Reinforced profiles can also incorporate steel wire, steel strip, textile reinforcement or other inserts where additional gripping strength and dimensional stability are required. AB Rubber Engineering offers custom Railway Profiles developed according to customer drawings, samples or OEM specifications. Profile dimensions, hardness, compound, reinforcement, surface finish, colour and length can be customized according to the application.
